Joshua Tree was beautiful the weekend we cruised up for rock climbing, hiking, and camping adventures. It was my first time rock climbing (and others too) and Matt, the dude, was a fabulous instructor, and provided all the necessary equipment, while Dave was excellent to guide and belay us. After a long day of scampering and climbing and hiking around, we went back and had a delicious campfire meal, laid in the back of the truck and watched the shooting stars, ate s'mores, drank whiskey, and laughed. We even woke up at 330 am to try and see the alleged meteor shower, which never happened on our watch. All in all a great time! I can't wait to go back! I even got my national park passport cancellation stamp! woot!

Anacapa Island Adventure




for her birthday, my beautiful mama wanted to go hiking around Anacapa Islands! what a great idea, and of course, I'm always down for an adventure, what a fun time we had!! 
Anacapa is part of Channel Islands National Park, and we earned out stamp, and can't wait to get our passports updated with our next trip!! ;)

Motor Union 2012


Green Flash Brewery, styled and tricked out whips, clothing vendors, DJ, raffles....I couldn't have planned a better event myself. all of the previously mentioned are things that I love to look enjoy! (responsibly of course)

i love car shows. always have, probably always will. do i drive a fancy car? no. am i aware of how expensive my tastes are? yes. i have absolutely no problem admiring the craftsmanship of (mostly) imported vehicles and the customizations that owners so lovingly put into their whips. Motor Union was not a car show, however, it was a collaboration of artists, street racing enthusiasts, car enthusiasts, and it just so happened to meet at Green Flash Brewery in Mira Mesa and was sponsored by FM949. i had a blast walking through the brewery, listening to good jams, meeting some new folks, and admiring the cars!

Mothers Day At San Diego Botanical Gardens

It was so aweome to be a part of this event! On the cusp of mothers day 2012, Sairberry and Weeks Designs popped up a tent and sold our wares for a Chocolate tasting, mothers day craft fair. So fun to be a part of the fun and see happy lil tykes with chocolately faces and hands and their beautiful moms enjoying a day out with the fam. fun event!

2013 Scion FR-S

i think this may be my next large purchase. the ultimate car for a car enthusiast for under $25k....not bad! and she's a sexy lil beast too!

intro Sommelier course- passed!

i had an amazing opportunity to take the intro wine somm course. I was definitely a wild card entry, and would love to tell you more about it in person. it was an amazing experience. the 3 master somms were SO knowledgeable, non-pretentious, and just fun to geek out about wine with! it was a 2 day intensive course that revolved around the intro wine booklet, (which i rec'd the morning of the 2nd day...again, wild care entry) most people had been studying (which i would recommend). we worked on the process of deductive wine tasting, which was cool to blind taste about 10 wines over the course of the 2 days.

and of course, there are specifics to drill down further into what varietal the wine is, where grown, what region, what climate, acidity, tannin, viscocity, vintage, and color. whew! tough stuff, but SO fun to learn about. :) the training and education i learned in this course (in addition to the amazing knowledge i've learned while working at 3rd corner) are priceless, and the more i learn, the more i can't wait to learn more and more!! and sure enough, i passed. our entire class passed! cheers!

Bluegrass Day at the Flower Fields

 i love bluegrass. it reminds me of my grandma & grandpa and reminds me of stories my mom used to tell about falling asleep as a kid, listening to hours of jam sessions in her front room of the house she grew up. i love that. music is so important in shaping who we are. it inspires, heals, motivates, and allows us to unleash our rage and creativity.

i invited some of my favorite human beings (what i call my friends) to attend this event at flower fields. fun fun!



 the inland empire corvette club pulled into the scene, further making my heart beat louder for bluegrass, flowers, and cars...a few of my favorite things.

we had such a fun day! finished off a day of good music, flowers, corvettes, friends, and a pint. a good ol fashioned hometown throwdown. a great way to spend a day of my retirement from the computer software sales/marketing industry
